Happy New Year!
Our time in Arkansas over Christmas break was the most restful break I’ve had so far coming home from seminary. Thank you to Amy Harrison and Stacey Valley especially for throwing a Girls’ Night Out for our family, friends & supporters to sit and chat with me! It was wonderful to see your loving faces, ladies, and hear about what’s going on in your lives. For those of you who couldn’t attend, I hope we can see and hear from each other soon!
Nash enjoyed time with grandparents, friends and family. Rob enjoyed family and friend time as well, plus a surprise New Year’s Day trip to the ER with stomach pains (he’s doing much better now!). We all in our own ways experienced the gift of friendship during the break, in surprising and hope-filled ways, much needed to recharge before coming back to the grind.
Go & Grow Interview at Fellowship North
While I was home, my friend and pastor Bobby Harrison from Fellowship North interviewed me to give an update to our church on how Familia McBryde is doing on our California adventure.
Currently we’re at the halfway mark in seminary! Can you believe it?! The grace and mercy of God has carried us through, especially through your friendship and support. Faithful is He who has called us and brought us this far. We believe that Faithful He will be to complete the work in and through us as well until we arrive to June 2019 graduation!
Quarter 6 (of 10) has begun full swing. It’s going to be a phenomenal and entertaining quarter with the following classes:
- Islam in North America
- Race & Christian Identity in the New Testament,
- Systematic Theology
Upcoming Speaking Engagements
- January 20 – Invocation Prayer at the 2018 MLK Day Breakfast, LA Convention Center
- February 15-16 – Keynote at the Technicolor Multiethnic Church Conference, Duluth, GA
- May 13 – Preaching at Fellowship Monrovia (our local home church), Monrovia, CA
We love to hear from friends and loved ones so don’t be shy in sending us an e-mail, text or call! May you enter into this new year with holy anticipation and hope-filled expectation of all that God is doing in and through you.
Grace and peace, on behalf of Familia McBryde,
